Shucks now I’m blushing (and I don’t know if that is good for my excavated turbinates)! I appreciate all the interest in my last post, especially from the Philly contingent. It feels good as a writer to know you’re read.
Is today’s game just another lamb to the slaughtering Sounders? According to the advanced statistics, the Union are better than their record would indicate, as they are winning duels, taking shots and holding possession. If the analytics are right, the Union are failing to get results due to some wonky statistical static. Could the Union regress to the mean Saturday at CenturyLink field and ship three past Frei? Sure, that is very possible, but… the Sounders are the best soccer team in the Western Hemisphere right now. Even if the Union played their best game, it wouldn’t matter.
Bold prediction: Behind an Ideal Eleven, Clint and Co. keep the party rockinh. Sounders 3-1.
